When the school wanted parents to purchase expensive books as a fund raiser, the child involved would receive a ''free'' SBSPants tee shirt very similar to this one pictured!Parents on a budget can rarely afford to buy expensive books, just so the child can 'win' a free shirt!While keeping a fair mind, I quickly realized my housekeeper would never be able to purchase the expensive books or magazines on the provided ''book list'' just so their child could own a 'free shirt'. When I saw the 'flyer' sent home by the school, I immediately came to Amazon and found some of the (almost exact) tee shirts for a very reasonable price! I purchased both a tee shirt for each child as well as some children's books on Amazon, for less than the price of just one magazine offered on the price list provided by the school.This shirt has survived many washings, many stains, and some rough wear from little boys! For the price, it's a great buy!My niece loved this shirt! That's right, I got it for a girl and it was more like a size 5 or 6, but she loves it and she will grow into it! The only reason I would give it 4 starts is because of the size difference. It is built for boys, but at this young age, there is not much difference in body size so it will work for either gender.I was suppose to be shipped a 2T. I couldn't find anything smaller anywhere else. My son usually wears 18 mos. when I opened the shirt up, my original thought was wow! It's big! But I tired it on him and it was a little big but it was okay. Then I noticed the size. They shipped me a 3T! So I'm pretty sure a 2T like I originally ordered would have been perfect! My sons wearing this shirt in 4 days on Saturday. For his 1st birthday. I really would of been a lot happier with a 2T. They should have have double checked the shirt before being sent out.I got this for my sons second birthday party. His theme was SpongeBob and well its a perfect shirt for summer its of a thin material. Very lightweight and not hot at all. I got it 3to 4 years old and fit him perfect like a size 2. So i suggest going a size up. But besides that great price.This shirt was not the size I ordered but the return policy and or exchange policy was super easy on line and my sister's card was credit it ad we were able to order another shirt and receive it just in time for it to be givenfor a Christmas present to my grandson,we would tell our friend's and family about amazon if they would inquire to us if we knew of a site to buy thing' from that was good and secure. Thankslittle big for a 10 years old but I still love it because a the NFL player CJ signed it for me (:It was a little large. Once I washed and dried it, it shrunk a little and fit better.my grand nephew loves sponge bob and so he loved his t-shirt which fitted as expected. love amazon. thanks amazon for never letting me down.
